Co-curricular music at AHS is thriving. We have a large range of ensembles offered to students of all ages, abilities, instruments and musical styles. Clubs are run by the teaching staff and team of private tutors. We also team up with Aylesbury Grammar School for some of our groups to allow a wide range of activities and full ensembles.

There is a busy schedule of concerts throughout the year giving students numerous opportunities to perform. A big event of the school calendar is House Music – this is very popular amongst the students and a big competition judged by external professionals. Students also perform outside of the school, for example, at the Waterside Theatre, Aylesbury, and take part in concert tours abroad.

With the expert help of our peripatetic teachers, we offer a wide range of clubs and ensembles here at AHS. Most rehearsals take place during lunch and we work closely with AGS running joint ensembles at either the girls or boys school.
